As the story goes, one pony rose up and cast the Moon's Nightmare out of the land.
But stories are never as simple as stained glass windows.
Deep in the archives of Canterlot an account has been found, now the whole story can be told...

I'm finally posting up a teaser for the comic I'm working on! This is just a promo poster and a brief synopsis of what it's going to be about. I know this story has probably been done a billion times as well, but this is just our take on what happened 1000 years prior to Nightmare Moon's revival. It's really a fun project that my husband and I can work on together as we share a common interest in ponies. He's an amazing story teller and I can draw, so hopefully together we can make a story that is decent to look at and makes sense.

I hope to get some ref sheets up of the main characters as well. Sadly, because this takes place 1000 years before the cartoon, none of the ponies we know and love will be in this, except a handful that would have been alive during that time.

Anyway, I guess I don't have too much else to say... I plan on posting the first 3 pages on the New Year, and then a new page every other week on Friday. Comments are strongly encouraged! Constructive criticism is also encouraged, as I'm always looking for hints and tricks to make a comic flow better.
